I work on a number of entrepreneurship initiatives at the University of California at Berkeley Haas School of Business, including teaching two-unit entrepreneurship course.

Entrepreneurship Course

Every semester at UC Berkeley, I teach a two unit “Crash Course to Entrepreneurship” class at the Haas School of Business open to all undergraduate students at Berkeley with fellow student Saleh Altayyar. Each year the course has around 50-75 students depending on the rooms available. The class covers all aspects of starting a business, from coming up with an idea to developing a product, raising funding, marketing, and more. Students work individually or in pairs to come up with a business idea and prepare a business plan for their company. It is the goal of the class to help some of these students actually start the businesses they create in the course.

Throughout the semester, students read excerpts from the Art of the Start by Guy Kawasaki, The Long Tail by Chris Anderson, The Four Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss, and The Last Lecture by Randy Pausche. We also invite a number of prominent speakers to come guest lecture including bestselling author Chris Anderson and Sarvesh Mahesh, the founder of Tavant Technologies, one of the largest IT Firms in the world.
